In1988 I became a Komiti member working with my Kaumatua - Uncle Taki, Aunty Connie, Uncle Perry and Aunty Sarah - to rebuild the Marae.

Sadly they have now passed beyond the 'veil'..... moe mai, moe mai, moe mai ra.

After a break of about five years, I returned as a Trustee and when I retired as a trustee I became the Pou mangai for the Marae.

Ka maumahara tatou, ko tatou te kanohi me te waha korero no ratou kua a ngaro i te po.  We are but the face and the voice of those who have departed.
