World War I  (Maori Pioneer Bn)

 

Harvey Brown was the son of Wi Taiawa and Ellen Brown (Baker),  On enlistment in October 1914 he gave his address as Omaha. He served in the Maori Pioneer Bn.  He was listed as wounded in action in September 1915 at Anzac Cove, Gallipoli.  In July 1918 he was discharged from the army.  Harvey died of TB on 10 February 1925 and is buried at Leigh.
